There are three verb conjugations:

• Conjugation I ends in the infinitive in -ar: hablar, comprar.
• Conjugation II ends in the infinitive in -er: vender, beber.
• Conjugation III ends in the infinitive in -ir: partir, vivir.

Very numerous are irregular verbs.
