Definite article

Equivalent of English "the", put before nouns. The Definite article informs about objects or people known, more precisely defined or already mentioned.

Forms:

singular, masculine:
before a consonant: il
before a vowel: l '
before gn, ps, z, x and s + consonant: lo
singular, feminine:
before a consonant: la
before a vowel: l '
plural, masculine:
before a consonant: i
before a vowel: gli
before gn, ps, z, x and s + consonant: gli
plural, feminine:
generally always: le.
