German grammar

Word order in questions and commands.

In the interrogative and imperative sentences, the predicate is usually in the first place. The subject is then usually in the second position, the rest of the sentence is after the subject. In imperative sentences in the 2nd person, subject is not obligatory (like in English : go ! take it !). If the predicate is complex, the second part of it goes to the end of the sentence.
