Infinitiv.

Infinitive. Basic, dictionary form of the verb. The infinitive without zu comes after the verbs: wollen, können, müssen, dürfen, sollen, mögen, helfen, hören, sehen, lassen, gehen, lernen , fahren, bleiben .

In other cases, the infinitive is usually preceded by the word zu : zu kommen, zu haben . Separately compound verbs take -zu- between the prefix and the rest of the verb: aus-zu-fahren .
