Most common German words

The most common German words.
For now, a list of the 50 most common German words has been compiled. Interestingly, there was not a single noun among them. Please check if they are all known, because without knowing them all one cannot write, speak or read German. Here they are:

Articles. The most common words are, of course, articles. The articles have gender and case forms.
The most common articles and their forms are:
der, die, das = the (and its forms den, dem, des)
ein, eine = a, an, one (and its forms einen, einer)
Examples: der Mann = the man, die Frau = the woman, das Kind = the child, das Haus = the house, ein Mann = a man, eine Frau = a woman, ein Kind = a child, ein Haus = a house

Article der, die, das means also this. Very common is "das ist" - this is: Das ist ein Mann - this is a man. Das ist eine Frau. Das ist ein Kind. Prepositions

The forms of the article change according to the preposition to Dativ (dem, der, dem) or Akkusativ (den, die, das) in = in : in Berlin - in Berlin, der Mann ist in Berlin - the man is in Berlin
zu = to : zu dem Mann - to the man, zu der Frau - to the woman
von = of, from : von der Frau - from the woman
mit = with : mit dem Mann, mit der Frau, der Mann ist mit der Frau - the man is with the woman
auf = on : auf dem Haus - on the house, auf dem Mann - on the man
an = at, by : an dem Haus - at the house, Robert ist an dem Haus
nach = after, to : nach Berlin - to Berlin
für = for : für den Mann, für die Frau, für das Kind
aus = from : aus Berlin, der Mann ist aus Berlin
durch = through : through Berlin
bei = at : bei Berlin
um = at (for example : at 7 o'clock), around
über = over : über dem Haus - over the house
and their forms: im (in + dem), zum (zu + dem), am (an + dem) (zum Mann, am Haus).

It must be remembered that prepositions are before nouns in different cases :
- prepositions with Dativ : von, zu, mit, nach, aus, bei
- prepositions with Akkusativ : durch, für, um
- in turn, in, auf, an, über are with Dativ when they denote a place, and with Akkusativ - when they denote movement. In their case, Dativ is more popular.
Prepositions with articles form contracted forms: zu + dem = zum, an + dem = am, in + dem = im, etc.

und = i, and : der Mann und die Frau
dass = that
als = if, than, as
