Subjunctive present

Formation of the subjunctive present is very simple. We take the 3rd person plural present and change -ant into -em, -ent into -eam, -unt into -am. The endings are same like in imperfectum indicativi after -ba-: active voice : -m, -s, -t, -mus, -tis, -nt passive voice : -r, -ris, -tur, -mur, -mini, -ntur Examples : I conjugation: voco, vocare, vocant:

In the IV conjugation the 3rd person plur. ends in -iunt :

The verb sum forms subjunctive present irregularly: sum > sim

Similarly : possum > possim, prosum > prosim, absum > absim. Also verbs volo (velle), nolo, malo have similar irregular forms: volo, velle, volunt > velim, velis, velit, velimus, velitis, velint nolo, nolle, nolunt > nolim, nolis... malo, malle, malunt > malim, malis... The other verbs form futurum regularly : eo, ire, eunt > eam, eas, eat, eamus, eatis, eant abeo, abire, abeunt > abeam, abeas, abeat, abeamus, abeatis, abeant fero, ferre, ferunt > feram, feras, ferat, feramus, feratis, ferant fio, fieri, fiunt > fiam, fies... The passive voice has regular passive endings : Verbs in -em:
